Pursuant to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), signed into law
on August 17, 2009, as Public Act 96-542, following please find instructions on how to
submit a FOIA request to Troy Township along with a list of records that are readily
available for inspection.

day after your request is received. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Fees 

  •  Public entities may not charge fees for the first 50 pages of standard black and white copies.
  • After the first 50 pages, the fee for black and white copies shall be $0.15 per page.
  • Color copies will be charged at the actual cost of reproduction.
  • Electronic copies requested on a disc will be charged the actual cost of purchasing the recording medium.
  • Records requiring certification will be charged $1.00 per record.
  • If the documents are to be sent by US mail, there is also a charge for postage.

Purpose The Troy Township Supervisor serves as chief executive officer of the township. The supervisor’s duties and responsibilities include serving as chairman of the township board of trustees, supervisor of the general assistance program and treasurer of all town funds including general assistance and road and bridge funds. The township supervisor’s department is also responsible for the senior program, early voting, voter registration & community events. The Troy Township Highway Commissioner is the administrator and is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the maintenance of roads and bridges in the unincorporated areas of the road district. The function of the Assessor’s Office is to determine actual value of real property (The price you would expect to receive if you sold your home), while maintaining equity (equal treatment) between properties.
