Decennial Committee Reports

The Decennial Committees on Local Government Efficiency Act (50 ILCS 70) was created by P.A. 102-1088 and was effective June 10, 2022.

Troy Township officially formed the Troy Township Decennial Committee and the Troy Township Road District Decennial Committee on March 20, 2023. Both committees met several times throughout 2023 and the early part of 2024 in order to meet the Act’s requirements of studying the governmental unit’s ordinances, rules, procedures, powers, jurisdiction, shared services, intergovernmental agreements, and interrelationships with other governmental units and the State.

Each committee summarized its work and findings within a written report, which included recommendations in respect to increased accountability and efficiency. Both reports were provided to the administrative office of the Will County Board and are posted below.
