Clerk

The township clerk is keeper of all township records except for active general assistance cases. The clerk is required to keep accurate records of all township board meetings and maintain records of the board’s executive sessions; records roll call votes. Clerk also serves as the local election authority and is responsible for publishing or posting of legal notices, including notices for the highway commissioner. The clerk must witness bid openings for both the township and road district.

TROY TOWNSHIP CLERK LARRY RYAN – life long resident of Will County with over 30 years in Troy Township. Honored to have been elected a Township Trustee in 2009 and Township Clerk in 2021. Member of the Township Officials of Illinois, St. Jude Parish in Joliet and Laborers’ Local 288. Volunteers at St. Joe’s PONY Baseball and St. Jude school. Larry holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Bradley University and owns an underground construction business. Larry and his wife reside in unincorporated Troy Township and have two sons and a daughter.
