Public Act 103-0976 known as the Pesticide Application on Rights-of-Way Notification Act is a new Illinois law that took effect on January 1, 2025. The Pesticide Application on Rights-of-Way Notification Act requires the Township to provide written notice at least 24 hours before any pesticide application to public rights-of-way, including:
• Roadways and road shoulders
• Sidewalks and walking paths
• Utility corridors
• Storm sewers and drainage areas
• Other public infrastructure areas
Therefore, Troy Township is hereby notifying all residents of unincorporated Troy Township that the services of Clarke have been engaged to perform mosquito abatement services during the 2025 season and therefore pesticide applications will take place pursuant to the notice.
