TROY TOWNSHIP CLERK
The township clerk is keeper of all township records except for active general assistance cases. The clerk is required to keep accurate records of all township board meetings and maintain records of the board’s executive sessions; records roll call votes. Clerk also serves as the local election authority and is responsible for publishing or posting of legal notices, including notices for the highway commissioner. The clerk must witness bid openings for both the township and road district.

TROY TOWNSHIP CLERK JIM McFARLAND is a life-long resident of Will County, previously serving as Troy Township Trustee from 2006-2011; past Joliet Junior College Board President; Spanish Community Center; Forest Park Community Center; member of the Son’s of the American Legion; Exchange Club of Joliet and Shorewood; Knights of Columbus; Will County Farm Bureau; IL Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities; Township Officials of IL. Jim holds a B.A. degree in communication from the University of Illinois and works full-time. Jim and his wife live in Troy Township with their daughter.
