TROY
TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES
The
township board of trustees is the legislative branch of
township government. Each single township has four trustees
and a supervisor that comprise the board. Each board member,
elected at-large within the township, has one vote on all
issues before the township board.
In their capacity as legislative officers, the trustees
adopt the annual town budget and appropriation ordinance,
the general assistance budget and the road district budget.
Trustees are also responsible for approving all township
expenses and auditing bills submitted for payment by the
highway commissioner.

Navy Korean War Veteran; member 911 Emergency Reporting System for Will County; Joliet Regional Port District; Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Support Committee; various Veteran committees; Township Officials of IL; retired. Don is married and has two sons. |

| CHERYL SEIL – life long resident of Troy Township serving as Trustee since 2006 and an election judge for over 20 years; member of Township Officials of IL; employed full-time. Cheryl is married and has two daughters. |

| JIM MC FARLAND - life-long resident of Will County serving as Trustee since 2006; member of
the Son’s of the American Legion; Exchange Club of Joliet and Shorewood; Knights of Columbus; Will
County Farm Bureau; IL Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities; Township Officials of IL; employed full-time.
Jim is married and has one child and two adopted chocolate Labradors. |
