TROY TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER

The Troy Township Highway Commissioner is the administrator and is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the maintenance of roads and bridges in the unincorporated areas of the road district.

In many respects, the township highway department is a separate government. Neither the township board of trustees nor the supervisor has any jurisdiction over the highway commissioner or the road district’s employees.

TROY TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER DANIEL R. WARD is a lifelong resident of Troy Township and has served as the Troy Township Highway Commissioner since 1993. Organizational memberships include Will County Highway Commissioners Association; Will County Farm Bureau; Shorewood Lions, Joliet Elks Lodge #296; Township Officials of Illinois. Dan is married and has five children and 12 grandchildren.
