TROY
TOWNSHIP CLERK
The
township clerk is keeper of all township records except
for active general assistance cases. The clerk is required
to keep accurate records of all township board meetings
and maintain records of the board’s executive
sessions; records roll call votes. Clerk also serves as
the local election authority and is responsible for publishing
or posting of legal notices, including notices for the
highway commissioner. The clerk must witness bid openings
for both the township and road district.
TROY
TOWNSHIP CLERK GEORGE MUENTNICH a
lifelong resident of Troy Township has
served the township since 1981 as a trustee and
presently as Clerk. Employed as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for Joliet Township High Schools. Organizational memberships
include Battalion Chief Troy Fire District; Village
of Shorewood Fire and Police Board; Illinois Fire
Chiefs Association; Illinois Clerks Association;
Township Officials of Illinois;
Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. George has two children.
